Please remember to submit all Health Alliance preauthorization requests through Your Health Alliance. Please do not fax your requests. Any faxed requests will be returned so that the appropriate preauthorization avenue can be used: Clear Coverage for medical tests or procedures or the Health Alliance online preauthorization tool for any medical tests or procedures not noted on Clear Coverage.
Our online submission tools allow you to track and receive notifications about your preauthorization requests. They also help us process requests more quickly. When requests come through Clear Coverage, the turnaround time is 2 to 3 days, and the majority are approved automatically.
For those pharmacy and durable medical equipment preauthorization requests that can’t go through Clear Coverage, use the appropriate online submission tool on the Request Preauthorization page of Your Health Alliance.
All of your staff members who need to request preauthorization or check a preauthorization request status will need to set up their own individual accounts on Your Health Alliance. They just need to choose “I work with Health Alliance” from the login screen and register for an office personnel account.
